Sam Allardyce was quick to praise midfielder Andranik Teimourian after the Iran international scored a double to knock Doncaster Rovers out of the FA Cup earlier today. The 23-year old struck his first goals for the club either side of the half time interval to send Bolton on their way to a 4-0 win and Allardyce beleives that there is more to come from the promising youngster who cost Wanderers a small fee when moving from Abu Moslem in the summer.

"Andranik took his chances superbly well. His two goals were terrific after running from deep positions, he's a great athlete. It's taken him a long time to settle down here with the different cultures, not speaking the language too well and being on his own. But the lads get on well with him and he's enjoying his football a little better and today was an expression of that.

"If he continues like that then we could have a player on our hands to put in and play in the Premiership now and again throughout the season. We spotted him in the World Cup and he's one of those risks you take as a manager that doesn't cost you too much. He cost us a few hundred thousand euros or dollars and was playing in Iran."

Andranik's only appearances in the Premiership so far have been brief ones. In September he made a cameo appearance in a 1-0 win against Watford at the Reebok Stadium and on New Years Day he came off the bench to impress during the Wanderers 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.
