Bolton Wanderers hope to get back to winning ways tommorow afternoon as they take on newly promoted Watford at the Reebok Stadium.

The season started off with a bang for the Trotters as they recorded an excellent 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur but results since have seen just one point claimed from the away games against Fulham and Charlton Athletic.

Watford are yet to record a win following their return to the top flight this summer but their resilience in the games so far means that the Wanderers won't have it all their own way.

Joey O'Brien, Ricardo Gardner, Kevin Davies and Stelios Giannakopoulos are all ruled out with injury for the Wanderers but record signing Nicolas Anelka is expected to be given his debut.

Fellow new signing, midfielder Andranik Teimourian, may also be handed his first Trotters appearance after gaining international clearance and a work permit recently.

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd will be without former Blackpool player Clarke Carlisle but goalkeeper Ben Foster should return in goal at the expense of Richard Lee.

This game will be the first Premiership match that the two sides have contentested. The last time these two teams met in the league was an old First Division match five years ago.

Both these sides took part in the 1999 First Division Play Off Final at Wembley. Watford went onto win the game 2-0 thanks to a late goal from Allan Smart and an overhead kick from Nick Wright

Twins Dean and David Holdsworth both started their careers at Watford in 1986. Some sixteen years later the two where re-united at Bolton for a short while.
