Jared Borgetti's time at Bolton Wanderers should be coming to a close by this weekend according to Trotters manager Sam Allardyce. The veteran Mexican striker has been in advanced talks with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad and Allardyce says that the Middle-Eastern club are currently the front runners.

Racing Santander and Porto have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the 32-year old front man who cost Wanderers £1 million when moving from his homeland last summer.

"I'm looking for Jared to complete a deal at some stage in the next 24 hours," confirmed Allardyce.

"The Middle East club Al Ittihad are still favourites, but other clubs are now emerging to sign him. If Jared finally leaves, it will free up more funds to bring in a player with more quality."

Allardyce is still on the lookout for a new striker to bolster his attack and long term target Diego Tristan has once again been linked with a £2.5 million move to the Reebok.
