Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that they have decided against offering a contract to Italian central defender Lorenzo Stovini....
The 29-year old spent the seven days or so training with the Trotters in the hope of gaining a permanent deal but Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has since revealed that the former Serie A stopper was not the type of player he was looking for.
"Stovini was training at the Club last week, but I feel he is not the player we need. He has returned to Italy and our search moves on" said the Bolton manager to the official website.
Former Vicenza and Reggina star Stovini is now likely to pitch up with a club in his native Italy.
