Tunisian defender Radhi Jaidi is in talks with Birmingham City about a move to St Andrews after falling out of favour at Bolton Wanderers. The giant African lost his place in the Trotters line up towards the end of last season and Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed that negotiations with the Blues are at an early stage.

"There are talks on for Radhi at the moment. They're in their infancy, so we may see how that develops." said Allardyce to Sporting Life earlier today

Jaidi 30, joined Bolton from Esperance de Tunis two years ago and quickly became famous for his knack of scoring headed goals from set pieces. However, the quick emergence of Israelian Tal Ben-Haim into the first team line up meant that the player had to play the waiting game in his bid to make the first team.

Ironically one of the men who kept him out of the team at the Reebok Stadium was French veteran Bruno N'Gotty, who is now of course plying his trade with Birmingham for the forthcoming season.
