Trialist Quinton Fortune has finally committed his future to Bolton Wanderers after penning a one-year contract earlier today..... The South African international has been training with the Wanderers all summer and has recently featured in the first team friendly games against Burnley and Glasgow Rangers.

Fortune, released after a seven year spell with Manchester United in May, becomes Sam Allardyce's third signing of the summer following on from the recent captures of Abdoulaye Meite and Idan Tal.

Allardyce had been impressed with Fortune's attitude and commitment in the close season and had no hesitation in offering the 29-year old a chance to resurrect his career at the Reebok Stadium.

Speaking about his latest capture the Bolton boss was happy to have landed a player of experience and versatility.

"Quinton is a player who I have admired for a very long time. He is a quality performer with plenty of Premier League experience and he can play in a number of positions. He will be a very welcome addition to our squad"
