Liverpool full back Djimi Traore could be about to snub a switch to Bolton Wanderers in favour of a move to the capital with Charlton Athletic. The long serving Frenchman looks likely to finally leave Anfield this summer as Rafa Benitez aims to bring in a number of new faces to enhance the Merseysiders prospects of putting up a strong title challenge.

Bolton are on the lookout for a new full back due to a long term injury to Player of the Year holder Ricardo Gardner, whilst the Addicks are also set to boost their defensive options due to the departures of Chris Perry and Chris Powell earlier this summer.

Traore could leave the Reds for as little as £600,000 and it is beleived that Charlton chief Iain Dowie is winning the race to lure the ex-Lens defender away from the North West.

Meanwhile the Wanderers have confirmed that they will be happy to listen to offers for striker Jared Borgetti after the Mexican star attracted interest from Spanish club Racing Santander.

Borgetti had a mixed first season at the Reebok Stadium last term and whilst Allardyce is happy to keep the South American on his books, he stressed that he would also listen to bids of a reasonable nature.
