Gary McAllister to end his Anfield days with a Championship Medal. The Scot who will take up his post at Coventry after the Premiership season ends hopes to go out on a high - winning another Championship medal. Former Scottish International Gary McAllister wants to end his Anfield days with yet another Championship Winners Medal.

McAllister who has had alot of praise aimed at him since being named the new boss of coventry the praise coming from Phil Thompson and The Boss Gerard Houllier, and Macca wants to go out on a Major high by winning the Premiership to end 2 great Years at Anfield.

Macca said: "I'm not finished just yet. I've still got three games to play and I'm hopeful I may get a chance.

"It would be nice to finish off my Liverpool collection with a championship winners medal. There's still a lot of football to be played and we can still do it.

"My final game against Ipswich will be an emotional occasion - and I hope as much as anyone there will be plenty to play for when that comes along.

"I really want to thank everyone before I leave. I will go with some wonderful memories. It's been a fairytale."

Gerard Houllier also very pleased for McAllister landing the Coventry hotseat said "We all applauded Macca this week when he came in for training, calling him 'Boss'".

"I wish him the best of luck. In the two years he has been at Liverpool he has brought us a lot, not just with his football but with his attitude."
