Patrik's current deal expires at the end of next season, but he is keen to thrash out new terms as soon as possible. Read on. He told the official website: "I have one more season left after this one."

He continued: "I've been injured for two months and I wasn't thinking about the contract. My main aim at the moment is to be focused on the games between now and the end of the season.

"If Liverpool want to keep me, then I don't see any reason to want to leave for somewhere else.

"We have a great team, we are going in the right direction and I think we can win things every season."
