Scottish Champions Glasgow Celtic are ready to swoop for out of favour Czech midfielder Patrick Berger. After a number of injuries, Berger has sat out the first team squad and is now battling his way to get in to the first team.

Also on the transfer front, Gerard Houllier is leading the race to sign the £5million-rated attacking midfielder Pedro Munitis after a bid for Damien Duff was rejected.

Real Madrid want to sign Ronaldo and need the cash from the transfer which would be a great help for the Catalan side.
