Fans ignored again with silly kick off times.

Old Firm fans will be treated to 6pm kick offs on a Tuesday in Perth to help catch back their postponed fixtures

This latest abomination seems to ignore the needs and thought of supporters (both home and away) and how they will be able to get there on time.

Guess why this having to happen, well it’s for TV Coverage of course! The only way the games can feature on the nights they are being played is to kick off this early to avoid clashing with the Champions League.

This also brings about another discussion point, why do UEFA put this embargo on TV coverage when their elite are playing? Are they a bit panicky that people aren’t all that interested in their major tournament and would rather watch their own team or the teams in their domestic market.

If the authorities keep up this kind of action they will find they have plenty of games on TV but they will be played out in front of empty stands as the fan will have been so disenfranchised they won’t bother turning up.

Surely the people who run the game need to wake and smell the coffee and remember there are customers out their who travel to the stadia, and that not all of us are armchair fans…..
