Will Kenny Miller move to Spain, England or as seems more likely now Turkey?

After a couple of weeks of speculation it looks as though the Kenny Miller transfer saga is coming close to an end.

First to make a bid, and have it accepted, were Birmingham City and looked as though the Big Eck factor would win the day. Alex McLeish had been Miller’s boss at Hibs, sold him from Rangers and managed him at Scotland and it was felt this would hold some sway.

The Blues have revealed today that Miller has rejected their offer and will not be moving to St. Andrews after all.

Next up were Italian Serie A side Fiorentina of Florence an interesting city for Miller to move to compare to Glasgow or Birmingham.

This didn’t appear to appeal much, and Paolo Di Canio’s trashing of the SPL to the Italian press may not have helped his cause much and the trail went cold on this one.

Now it appears Rangers Champions League opponents Bursaspor of Turkey are the favourites for his signature. Miller would appear to be heading East tomorrow to talk to them.

No deal appears to have been agreed wit Rangers yet, but if the rumours of his salary package are true I don’t think he will be heading back in a plane after talking to them. It is reported they will be offering him £50000 per week – not bad for topping up the pension….

If he does go it will be interesting to see if Walter Smith gets any of the money or whether he has to use Lafferty, Beattie and Jelavic up front.
