OAKES BLASTED

Stefan Oakes has left Notts County with a flea in his ear. The Magpies Chairman praised his technical ability but lambasted his work rate and level of application. Oakes joined County from the Saddlers after failing to secure a regular first team spot. Oakes is now set to join Wycombe Wanderers. 

 

KOFI FINDS CLUB

Former Saddler Kofi Dakinah has found himself a new Club. He has finally signed a deal with FC NORDSJÆLLAND. Kofi had been on trial with a number of different Danish clubs.

 

REGGAE BOYZ FOR FREE

Brentford have released Jamie Lawrence and Deon Burton. The Jamaican duo had spells with the Saddlers under Colin Lee. Both are now seeking clubs. Lawrence failed to impress down at Griffin Park, but Deon Burton was a key figure in their bid to secure a championship spot via the play-offs.

 

JIMMY BLOW?

The news that Jimmy Walker is going to miss the start of the season has been made worse by the news that Alan Pardew is eyeing up former Man United keeper Roy Carroll. Carroll is said to want £15-20,000 in wages. Would West Ham really put a keeper on that kind of wage in the Reserves or on the bench?
