Bewers Gets Contract

Former Aston Villa youngster Jonathon Bewers has been given a contract following his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. The 22 year old ex Villa trainee has been given a three month contract by Paul Merson, to give him a chance to prove himself, once he gets back to the required fitness levels. He was certainly struggling towards the end of Saturday's game to cope with the 90 minutes.

It transpires that the urgency of finding a replacement/cover for the out of form Darren Bazeley was that reserve right back Ryan Willetts had broken his wrist last week.
