Merse has told the Express and Star that we are not going to be pursuing the signature of Tommy Mooney. We had been considered favorites following the withdrawal of Bristol City.

MOONEY - ARE WE AFTER HIM?

THE EXPRESS AND STAR REPORTS THAT THE SADDLERS ARE NOT INTERESTED IN TOMMY MOONEY... 

Is this just a coy ploy by the Saddlers to get their man at a price they want - it happens all the while? Are they trying to show that is they who call the shots.

Or are they being genuinely honest.... We do have enough strikers for next season. Despite the fact that only one of them is considered as "proven".
