Colin Lee has had his contract at Walsall terminated by owner Jeff Bonser today. Bonser was unhappy with Lee's commitment, after the former Wolves and Torquay manager spoke to division two leaders Plymouth this week. 4th April 2004

LEE CONTRACT TERMINATED

WALSALL FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE TERMINATED THE CONTRACT OF MANAGER COLIN LEE.  

Lee has been accused of creating an "atmosphere of uncertainty". His decision to talk to Plymouth raised questions about his commitment to the club.

Club Owner Jeff Bonser has said....

"The decision by Plymouth to delay the announcement of their new manager has created an atmosphere of intense uncertainty at this stage of the season. The situation was created by Colin Lee being prepared to talk to Plymouth about their managerial vacancy just six months after pledging his long-term future to Walsall." 

The Saddlers have also terminated the contract of Paul Bracewell who was expected to take over should Lee go.
