The club have confirmed Monday's rumours that Jamie Lawrence has been allowed to leave the club, in search of first team football. Lawrence came to the Saddlers with a great reputation amongst both the Bradford fans and the Jamaica fans.

The pacy midfielder/winger/full back has never got anywhere near reaching his potential at Walsall, however, although how much of that may have been down to him not having had a close season due to International committments remains to be seen.

Whatever the truth of the matter, he did become the target of some of our smaller minded boo boys and the club announcement that he is leaving to find first team football seems to be a reasonable solution for both parties, even if he did score in his last appearance, at Nottingham Forest.
