Will the Saddlers finally end there poor run of form? With an injury hit squad and no Colin Lee it doesn't seem likely. But this is the Saddlers we are talking about.

The out
of form Saddlers take on an indifferant Sunderland side who have displayed some
erratic form so far this season. A recent run of four league wins in a row was
followed by 3 league games without a win, and a victory over Premier League
Birmingham in the FA Cup. With no Colin Lee it is down to Paul Bracewell and Mick Halsall to run things for the Saddlers. They nearly got the Saddlers a point at Wigan on Saturday, but some more poor defending and a reluctance to attack meant we returned home pointless. Team News...
..... Darren Byfield could start against his former Club. Gary Breen is likely to return from injury. Jason McAteer faces a late fitness test. Matt Piper is expected to recover from his injury and settle for a spot on the bench.

The
Saddlers have even more injury problems than they did on Saturday. Matt Carbon
came off injured at Wigan and faces a fitness test. Samways, Wrack, Lawrence and
Roper must all have fitness tests before the game. The Saddlers may revert to a
4-4-2 system to compensate for losing Carbon. 
Walsall
Keeper Jim Walker is back in the first team and back to his best. His performance at Wigan
on Saturday was simply outstanding. Jorge Leitao will also want to
continue his good goal form of recent weeks. His form has been the only bright
light in a very dark tunnel. Sunderland
Striker Darren Byfield's last visit to the Bescot saw him score him score two
goal in Rotherham's
4-3 win, his pace could trouble the Walsall defence. As could Julio Arca
who is one of the most talented players in the first division, and a man who
could expose Walsall's lack of numbers out wide if they play with a narrow
midfield trio.
