The Sunday People reports we are close to signing a Premiership midfielder.

The player in question is Bolton and Republic of Ireland international Gareth Farrelly who has spent most of this season out on loan with Division 1 clubs.

He started the season with Burnley, for whom he made 14 appearances during a 3 month spell. He is currently with Bradford who he has been with since November. He also spent the end of last season on-loan to Rotherham United. 

We are in desperate need of fresh legs in the midfield area. Osborn, Corica, Wrack and Samways are all struggling with injuries. Lee doesn't seem to keen on starting with Lawrence or Taylor, so bringing in another player is a logical move.

Whether or not the absence of Colin Lee will hold up proceedings remains to be seen, but it would be nice to have a new signing on board as soon as possible.
