Wales spent last week on trial at the Bescot, and Colin Lee was attempting to secure another weeks stay for the pacey front man.

The IC Birmingham network suggests that Wales would rather stay closer to home, and that a loan deal would have been unsuitable for Hearts who have massive debts.

A loan deal would have involved us paying a portion of his wages, something the Scots obviously found unacceptable.

Lee must now try and find some other targets in order to bolster our striking options.
