Samways can go. But only if someone from Spain wants to buy him.

Lee has spoken to the Express and Star about the situation, saying that Samways is under contract, a contract which we are going to honour. 

Lee says....

"If a club in Spain want to buy Vinny Samways then they need to speak to me, When he signed his contract at the beginning of the season it was a two-year deal"

"We gave him a letter to say that after six months, if he was finding it difficult in terms of travelling and being away from his family, he could go. He's had a lot of help from me in that department. He's been travelling home after nearly every game and doing a lot of his preparation and training in Spain"

This is a very tricky situation for Lee. 

• Samways wants to go
• He is a loyal servant, not a moaner. You cant help but feel we owe him something. 
• The Spanish clubs are allowed to recruit.
• The clause says no moving till Feb. 
• Could this upset the dressing room.

Fans are bound to be down hearted about this. It is a difficult situation. He gives so much for the team, and the one thing we could give him in return would be to the detriment of the club. At the end of the day, safety could be a lot nearer come February. We need our best team out until safety is assured.
