The Evening Mail are reporting that Herfolge's top striker, Chris Hermanson, played in a behind the scenes game for us yesterday.
The Evening Mail is reporting that our link-up with Herfolge started to bear fruit yesterday with the Danish club's star striker Chris Hermansen playing in an internal friendly at Bescot.
Hermansen played the game which consisted of three 25-minute segments, organised as tomorrow’s visit to Sheffield United being postponed due to International committments.
Hermanson is 28 and scored 21 goals in 25 games last season to help get promotion for Herfolge to the Danish Super League. A loan deal could be on the cards at some point as Colin Lee does rate him.
“He did well in the practice game as I expected him to,” Lee said to the Mail today. “I’ve had the advantage of seeing him properly in a Super League match in Denmark and he has quality.
But there’s no immediate prospect of him joining us. This was just the first step of our link with Herfolge. It gave him the chance to come over and have a look at our set-up.”
He is supposed to be a strong, two-footed player with a good track record and, therefore, a valid option for Lee. The Danes do have a mid-winter break and Herfolge might welcome their striker getting some first team games in.
This may also explain why the announcement was made yesterday about four players being offered out for loans.
