Lee’s excuse for Sunderland

The reason we lost on Saturday is because we rely on Paul Merson to much. He cant carry the team alone, but maybe Lee has a point. Lee told the media that…. "Paul Merson thrives on coming to places like this - but we can't rely on him all the time. We need to have steel when we come to places like this." Has the signing of Paul Merson lured us all in to a false sense of security. Take him out of the starting eleven and bar the current loanees the team is not much stronger than the one which ffinished last season. Merse is getting older and he is likely to be missing more often than not. Do you agree with Colin? Share your thoughts with us on the forum. New Page 2
