Is Lee a front runner for the Reading Job. Parts of the press are suggesting so. He was once the number 2 to McGhee at Reading.

A good start to the season. The ability to attract quality players. Good links in the transfer market. The fact he was McGhee's assistant at Reading and his recent contract talks are going to mean he is a favourite for the post at the Mad Stad.

 The Walsall Observer is the first place to make the link, but the national media is likley to follow given the history between he two parties. It may just be paper talk for now, but Lee will be on many peoples short lists. 

He told the Observer there had been no approach from Reading, and that his talks were just about his contract. Former Walsall boss Ray Graydon is also believed to be a front runner for the position. Graydon made a favorable impression during 2001 play off final when his Saddlers side beat Pardews Reading. His sportsmanship was praised by everyone connected with the Royals.

We should expect Lee to be someway down the pecking order, with Ronnie Moore being the favourite.
