Walsall

Juan Pablo Angel is out with an injury sustained on the pre-season tour of Scandinavia. Allback and Delaney are set to return from injury. New signing Gavin McCann is in a strong Villa Squad.

Danny Hay could play a small part in the game after signing a new deal. Fans should expect to see what Lee's first XI is going to be come the Albion game. Osborn and Leitao the only injury doubts.

One's to Watch.

Kidderminster

Merson lines up against his old club. Many of his former team mates are still at the Villa, and the Villa fans are sure to give him a warm welcome. Oh, yes, and he also makes his Bescot debut.

Aston Villa

Alpay will be eager to impress O'Leary after months of moaning about Graham Taylor. This chap played in the world cup, and was one of Turkeys star players. He will want to a regular spot at the back next season.

The Verdict

.

The big names - Vassell, Johnsen,  Mellberg and  Barry will be on show, and the Villa will field a strong side.. It would be nice to beat them, but those of us who have seen the Kiddy and Cobblers games know we will really have to raise our game to be in with a chance. 

We  provide them with their first real test of the season, as their Scandinavian opposition wasn't up to much. Maybe we can catch them out, go for the kill early on and get them on the back foot. If we are to do that, we will have to change the way we have played in the other games, which is unlikely. 

Lets hope for an entertaining game where both sides give it their all.
