Selling Out!

The Merson factor seems to be taking hold, as the club are reporting tickets are going fast for the Villa and West Bromwich Albion games. The official site is reporting that over 8,000 tickets have now been sold for Walsall's pre season friendly against Paul Merson's old club, Aston Villa on Saturday.

While this is good to see, in that interest in the club is still rising, even more important is the fact that they say less than 500 tickets now remian for the big opening day fixture against the Albion.

Whatever happens between now and a week on Saturday, there looks like being an absolutely certain sell out for the first game of the season.
