the 5th of April 2001, Ray Graydons Saddlers side traveled to Sixfields
knowing they were already in the play-offs. It was Party time for the
Saddlers who fielded a weakened side yet won 3-0 thanks to a Brett Angell
hatrick. All of Angell's goals came in the second half. The Saddlers
went on to beat Stoke and Reading to gain promotion to the first division.
Town were already safe, and went on to have another relegation battle in
01/02 before finishing bottom of the second division last
season. |

24 year old Tom Young's has a
wealth of experiance in the lower leagues despite his young age.
He was signed from Cambridge for £50,000 in March last season. He
averaged a goal every 3 starts for the U's and can play as a
midfielder or a forward.

opposition. Lee's plans should start to take shape. This game should
allow us to see how he wants to deploy Merson and his other new signings
during the new season.

Should be a good game. Ns. Both sides have high hopes for the
forthcoming season because of there activity in the transfer market. It wasn't
all that long ago that the Cobblers failed to gain promotion to the
first division themselves. They have since sunk back in to the basement,
which they will want to get out of sharpish.
