That number 10 he wears on his back is proving to be popular with the fans.

 Fans are flocking to the Walsall shop in order to get Merson's 10 on the back of their  shirts. Merson is a household name throughout the country and fans are eager to get his name stamped on the back of their shirts.

 Anyone who has attended the pre-season games will have noticed the number of shirts with his name on. It costs in the region of £12 for the name and number, a deal more fans are likley to take advantage of before the start of the season.  

Merson took over the number 10 shirt from Stevie Corica who will be wearing Martin O'Connor's number 8 shirt during the forthcoming season.

The Merson factor is sure to grow and develop in the coming weeks.
