As we suspected sometime ago, the club web site has announced today that birthday boy (he's 32 today) and former Wolves player Neil Emblen has joined the club for next season. Emblen is a versatile performer, who can play anywhere on the field apart from in goal . . . but who knows he may even be called upon to forfil that duty sometime during the season if we start the season without a back-up keeper.

He had a spell on loan at Bescot Stadium last season before returning to play in the final game of the season on a non-contract basis following his release by Norwich City, where he was club captain.

Colin Lee said that "Neil has taken a massive drop in wages to join us, he had an offer to go elsewhere on more money but expressed a great desire to come back here and do a job for this club.
"That just goes to show the type of person he is and how determined he is to play for us. This is exactly the kind of attitude we need.
"To agree the kind of deal we have with a player of Neil's experience and versatility represents an excellent bit of business by the club and I look forward to having him in my team for the new season."

Meanwhile The Saddlers are still closing in on the three players, hopefully we will have some news about these players soon.
