Briscoe Target?

The evening Mail have seemed to be desperate for stories lately. Is this one true? They are reporting we are interested in Lee Briscoe. The former Sheffield Wednesday full back and left sided utility man has been released by Burnley, as a cost cutting measure.

Although he can play in multiple positions and would, therefore, be useful, he is also rumoured to have been one of Burnley's higher earners, which would tend to put him out of our reach!

His name has also been linked with three or four other First Division clubs, incuding Rotherham, so this might be a case of an agent touting a name around!

Still, if true, he would be a handy addition to the squad.
