Chief executive Roy Whalley told the club's website: "The overriding objective for the club is to provide Colin Lee with the financial support he needs to assemble a team that can perform effectively in Division One.

"We will do everything we possibly can to support the manager. Colin informed the meeting about a number of players he would like to bring here and we were able to give him the green light to go forward in negotiations with these players.

"Whilst I am not prepared to divulge their names, I would say that supporters will be delighted if we can bring some of them to the club. I fully expect new faces to start arriving before the end of the month."
