Walsall FC will have a ladies team as of next season. The Club have linked up with the Great Wyrley Ladies team who recently won promotion to the West Midlands Premier League.

The other football league clubs with sides in the West Midlands premier are West Bromwhich Albion, Kidderminster Harriers and Stoke City, while their is also a team affiliated with Rushall Olympic.

Wyrley had an astonishing season, they played 22, won 20, lost 2, scored 129, let in 15 and clinched the championship by just 1 point.
