We should be thankful that we are traveling to Cleethorpes not desperate for a win at this stage of the season. Instead the Saddlers fans can travel to Blundell Park knowing they are going to enjoy some footy, a few beers and some fish and chips. New Page 1

Grimsby Town

Richard Hughes, Michael Keane, Shaun Allaway, Steve Livingstone, Stuart Campbell were all doubts for Saturdays clash with Sheff Wed, and their is no saying they will be 100% fit  for their clash with us on Monday.

Walsall

Hay is out till next season, O'Connor may still be doubtful. Lee may opt to change the system seeming as we are away from home. Both Pedro and Corica made a good case for inclusion on Saturday.

Walsall One2Watch: Jimmy Walker made a swift return to the Saddlers XI against Coventry City last Tuesday - Kept a clean sheet. Then...on Saturday - He kept another clean sheet. Jim did manage to keep 3 consecutive clean sheets against Reading, Wimbledon and Brighton at the end of January, but the run was broken by a 4-1 defeat to the Foxes. Can Jim equal his run ?
.
Grimsby One2Watch: Forward Michael Boulding is back at Blundell park after an unsuccessful spell with Aston Villa.  He has hit top form since going "home" finding the net 4 times in 10 games. He is a real live wire and a player who is able to score goals in the first division.
Verdict
It would be nice to leave Grimsby knowing that we are mathematically safe, allowing us to enjoy the last 2 games against Derby and Sheffield Wednesday. Just 1 point will be enough, but Grimsby will be up for this one. Although they look doomed they can still catch Stoke City, and until they are defiantly relegated the Mariners wont give up. We can expect a scrap in what are usually difficult conditions at Blundell Park.  It would really boost confidence if the clean sheets could continue, but what we really need is goals, and not another 0-0. We are due a ruck of goals....maybe this weekend then....
Prediction: Mariners 3-3 Saddlers
