Hay
out for the rest of the season? |
Colin Lee believes that Danny
Hay suffered severe lateral ankle ligament damage during Saturdays
1-0 away at Gillingham. Although it will be Monday before Lee knows
more about the injury it seems like Hays season is over.
Hay had only just recovered from a
shoulder injury and Lee had resisted the temptation of rushing him back in
to action by awarding Tony Barras a place in the back 3 against the Gills.
His time at Elland Road was spoilt by injuries and the player will sureley
be disappointed about missing the crucial run in at the Bescot Stadium
after a pleasing first season that has also seen him play international
football for his country again.]
The defensive crisis at the Bescot
is now very worrying for Colin Lee who also saw Ian Roper leave the field
of play with an injured knee during Saturdays clash. If Lee does wish to
stick with the 3-5-2 system it could mean Darren Bazeley or even Gary
Birch slotting in as a make shift center half.
