The name of one of Colin Lee's "high profile" targets has been revealed tonight on Radio WM - but the Saddlers lose out on a player again. Radio WM are reporting tonight that the name of one of Colin Lee's transfer targets shows his ambitions for the club. However, Gary Macallister's name seems to carry more weight.

Yes, according to WM tonight, Colin Lee has admitted that Walsall were the "other club" in the running for the services of Blackburn Rovers forward and England wannabe Matt Jansen.

It was known for a week or so that Blackburn were interested in putting the man who nearly made England's World Cup squad out on loan, in order to try and recapture his fulll fitness, following an horrific road traffic accident last summer.

The rumour machine had him lined up for Burnley, but Radio WM are saying tonight that it was a choice between Coventry City and Walsall in the end.

Despite the fact that the points difference between the sides is not that great, Jansen plumped for Coventry, presumably because of the "name" of the Manager.

Blackburn are believed to be paying most of Jansen's wages, as they want him fit, so that explains why the cash strapped club could afford him.

With one of his targets gone, we wait to see where Colin Lee turns to next, in an attempt to strengthen the Walsall squad for the run in.
