Varga has only played 5 times for Sunderland this season, and they have paid his contract up allowing him to leave. At the moment he is on trial at Celtic, and if it proves unsuccessful then the Saddlers could well be singing the Slovakian International.

It is Lee's second enquiry about a Premiership player this week, but it seems that Notts Forest and Wolves are going to fight it out to secure the services on Manchester City front man, Darren Huckerby.

Lee has said that it is not the first time he has made a move for Vaga, and with Neil Emblems loan unlikely to be extended it could well make it 5 centre halves at the Bescot. 

Lee has brought in Ludo Pollet and Emblen to boost his defensive options so far this season, and with Varga having International and Premiership experience it would continue the flow of quality defensive players in to the club.

The Saddlers are now going to wait and see how the Slovakians trial up at Park head goes.
