United Youngster On Trial - By OneNil
Colin Lee has taken former England U16’s star Kris Taylor on trial. The 19 year old was released by Manchester Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson and played for the Saddlers second string in their 2-1 victory over Sheffield Utd at Hednesford’s Keys Park on Wednesday. Taylor is said to have played well in that game, in which Nick Smith and young striker Matt Fryatt scored the goals. The youngster signed for the Red Devils as a trainee in July 2000 and turned professional in January 2001. He can play at left back, in central defence or in central midfield and having been born in Stafford, would probably favour a move closer to home.

Junior Stays at Bescot ! - By Neil Ravenscroft

 The club have just announced some good news for fans, with Junior signing his loan extension until the end of the season Junior's signing will only be considered as good news by Saddler's fans, although the club are currently waiting for International Clearance to come through before the deal can be finalised. Worry surrounded the stars status when he hit a rich vein of form last month, but no interest has been shown in the fans favorite who can now continue to woo the fans without them worrying if he will be doing the off before the deadline!

 

Javary Loan Deal ! - By Neil Ravenscroft 
Colin Lee has also added to his options by completing the signing of talented French midfielder, Jean-Phillipe Javary on a one-month loan deal from Sheffield United.
"He will give us a different dimension to our play," Lee said on the official site. "His main quality is his attacking runs from the midfield, but he is a player who is committed and wants to do well"."He ended the season strongly last term, but has been kept out of the Sheffield United team this time around due to their good form."Javary is 25, described as an energetic performer who represented his country from Under-15 to Under-20 level, captaining the Under-18 side to European Youth Championship success in 1996 in a team that contained the likes of Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka, David Trezequet and Mikael Silvestre.

He spent three years as a striker with his home-town club Montpellier - where he became the youngest-ever player to turn out for their first-team at 17 years of age and skippered the Under-21 side to French National Cup glory.

- He later spent a season-long loan in Spain with Espanyol, but only played a handful of games.
- He moved to Raith Rovers in January 2000, but his talents soon attracted interest from south of the border and he joined Brentford in a £150,000 deal at the start of 2000/2001.
- He was taken on a free transfer by Sheffield United in March 2002 despite strong interest from Bradford City, where he had impressed during a trial spell but was unable to complete a permanent move due to The Bantams' precarious financial position.

Javary has started a total of six games for United, coming on as substitute on five occasions and scoring one goal. This season he has made just three substitutes appearances in the League and one substitute appearance in the Cup. 

He was quoted on the official site as saying "I have traveled around a lot in my career so far. I am keen to settle down and start getting regular first-team action.
I will always work hard, give 100% and do what the gaffer asks of me. Football is not a perfect science; you must have confidence, belief in yourself and keep working hard to make your own luck. I intend to do just that during my time here at Walsall FC."

The Frenchman stands by to make his first appearance for the club at Reading, whilst 16-year-old striker Matty Fryatt has traveled with the squad after marking his first-ever start for the reserves in midweek with a goal.

 

Lee Chases Mahon ! - By Neil Ravenscroft & 4two
Fridays Express and Star has said that the Saddlers are attempting to sign Alan Mahon on loan from Blackburn Rovers. Alan has played for Tranmere and Blackburn in the first division, while also playing Champions League Football with Sporting Lisbon. He is a left sided player who cost Rovers £1.5m in the July of 2001.

His limited chances at Ewood have made a loan move very likely, as he has only featured 3 times this term. Graham Souness confirmed that the Saddlers have made approach, and Saddlers fans will be hoping a player of his caliber will accept a move to the Bescot, if Rovers ok the deal.
