In a shock announcement today, the official site have announced that Stewart Houston has left the club. No-one expected this development, although something did seem amiss during last night's home defeat by Rotherham. UPDATE - PHYSIO RESIGNS. New Page 1

Lee says that the appointment was only short term, to see him through the start of the season, but speculation about this will be rife.

Who will we get to take the post now? Does it pave the way for the return of Dave Merrington?

What is also shocking is the resignation of physio Duncan Russell who has been at the Bescot since the Summer of 2000. In the aftermath of this double blow fans have speculated about what has happened. The early return of the players on the pitch may now have an explanation.

Something has certainly gone  on, if Lee wanted to bring in new medical staff (he has) Russell would have gone in the Summer. One thing for sure is that under the great Ray Graydon such shenanigans would not have gone on.

This can only rock a boat that is already taking on water , unsettle the players and look bad to prospective signings.

As reported earlier Premiership players are being touted around, with Horsefield, Dublin and Bob Taylor being the prime suspects. We will have to watch this space.
