Well, that's it. All over for another season.

And what a cracking season it was following the general lack of enthusiasm and optimism regarding the recruitment of last summer.

I have to admit, I was one of those that foresaw a somewhat uninspiring campaign to come, last September, but will delightedly admit to being totally wrong.

Hat-tip to Alex Rae and crew.

After a somewhat stuttering start as new, and somewhat inexperienced at this level, recruits bedded in and found their feet, Cov fans have been treated to a campaign unprecedented in this century. To go so long in third place in the league is testament to this team, and, let's face it, with a better start and one or two favourable twists, second might have even been attainable (and given that win at Ealing who's to say it wouldn't be justified?).

Yes, there is a slight sadness at seeing some of those who have contributed so much moving on, but that's the nature of this league - and who would deny them their chance to shine at a higher level? There's also a palpable excitement as always as we await news of new signings, and news of the ground developments hopefully in the pipeline. Season ticket sales ought, if there's any justice, to be at an all-time high, and if this momentum can be maintained through the pre-season 'cup', average attendances should also climb.

It's a good time to be a Cov fan, no doubt.

Well done to everyone at the club! A really entertaining season, and good luck to all those that are seeking to make their dreams a reality at a higher level, and to those that are also moving away from BPA to pastures new or leaving the game for whatever reason(s).

Thank you all, and here's to a next season, hope it's as exciting as this one has been!

This season has got to go down as the best ever since we gained promotion from National 1. Finishing 3rd was a massive achievement and many congratulations go to our team coaches and all the staff. You really made us proud of our team. Also not just winning games but the style in which it was achieved and also the amount of tries that we scored. I would like to sum the season up by the last game we played at Bedford. In my opinion it would have been easy to switch off as 3rd was already achieved and the team was off on their hols to sunny Spain the day after. But know they rolled up their sleeves and put in a big win over Bedford never easy to get a win there. It just showed the caliber of our team yes it was an end of season game but they performed like it was the first. The big smile on Alex Reas face said it all. So we move on to next season with high hopes and like everyone else i can't wait cheers Colin.

Cracking season and credit the coach for knitting together a team of young and experienced players. In fact we averaged 4 from 5 points over the season and in any other division it would be a promotion charge.
Great season for CCFC too.

Very good season indeed.
On the last post, I didn't realise until reading something - somewhere, how few penalties we had attempted this season. Shows either the confidence, or at least willingness to score 5/7 points rather than the 3. I'm happy with that!

The lack of penalties (at the posts) was something I've mentioned at least a couple of times, and as you say Paul, it's to be applauded.
Sure, it keeps the total points down a bit for the goalkickers, but I'm sure they'll be happy enough having a crack at the two-pointers in lieu.
