COVENTRY RFC today announced a raft of incoming dual-registered players to boost numbers in time for the start of the much-delayed 2020/21 season.

With a couple (at least) of tough pre-season matches in the pipeline, versus relegated Saracens, Director of Rugby Rowland Winter has acted to bolster his depleted squad with seven talented academy players from  Premiership sides Exeter Chiefs, Leicester Tigers, Gloucester, Sale Sharks, and near-neighbours Wasps.

Full details of the seven are on the club's official website HERE

A list of all squad members (as currently understood) lined up for the 2020/21 Greene King Championship season is given HERE

Sam Lewis is an excellent player, reminds me of Tom Croft, very quick.

I've heard some very good things about Sirker and Snow from Wasps and Exeter supporter friends of mine.

In these awful times, it really does bring the situation home when you suddenly realise we might never be able to cheer most of these players on during their time here, especially with only a season long loan deal. Good luck to all of them.

I am more than happy with the squad as it stands going into the season. Still have plenty of experience and very good on ability

Callum Sirker played for Wasps against Cov at BPA in the pre-season game a few seasons ago. A great prospect.

Callum is rapid and a proper finisher but it will be his first game after a serious ACL injury.
