Coventry Rugby team announced to face Cinderford at home.

The Coventry Rugby side to play Cinderford at home at the Butts Park Arena at the slightly later kick off time of 3.30pm this coming Saturday 24th January 2015 has just been named.
It shows 5 changes from the starting line-up that had a first ever win in difficult conditions at Wharfedale last Saturday. There is only change in the backs with Will Hurrell back after examinations replacing the unavailable Cliffie Hodgson on the wing. There is an exchange of prop forwards with both Andy Brown and Adam Parkins coming in from the bench in place of Beno Obano and Chad Thorne.
Injury at Wharfedale to George Oliver and to Ed Milne at training means a recall at No 7 for Luke Joseph and a welcome return after injury to Jacques le Roux at No 8.The bench has not yet been finalised but will selected from the 7 players listed below.
15 Barry Davies
14 Dan Rundle
13 Callum MacBurnie
12 Rob Knox
11 Will Hurrell
10 Matt Jones
9 Wayne Evans captain
1 Andy Brown
2 Matt Price vice-captain and pack leader
3 Adam Parkins
4 Roan Van Heerden
5 Tom Poole
6 Sam Pailor
7 Luke Joseph
8 Jacques Le Roux
Replacements from: Jake Farnworth fr/br, Finlay Sinclair fr, Chad Thorne fr, Beno Obano fr, Luke Myring, Louis Silver, Pierre Ferre.
the no 8 is a big miss-he has worked v hard, tackled well and carried the ball well. we look short of bodies to fill in the second n back row. lets hope for adry day an da firm pitch.
By the number 8 tonker you mean Ed Milne, but unfortunately even in training these things happen.
Jake Farnworth covered back row last week, Sam can cover 2nd row as well having played there.
We have to remember this squad has done really well. nearly every position has been covered all season and the personnel who have covered these positions have kept cov on this winning run this squad believe in them selves it about time we give all the replacements the support they deserve. com on cov 16
The squad list is the document Tom published at the start of the season.
People have been trying since the following week to get it updated with corrections, updates, player photos, player profiles. Etc. Etc.
Unfortunately, as far as I can fi d out it seems that the way the club set up the website with their outside supplier, this was classified as static information, and so there is (organisationally, / commercially not technically) no way to get it updated.
Ridiculous - yes. Likely to get fixed this season - no. Want to get it sorted - ask the board members who brought us Zar-X and the no-score board last season, and see if they can get it right next season.
Rant over.

Very happy Jacques is back too Fordy.
Our best try-scorer last season by a country mile (work it out by tries per minute played if you doubt it) was always going to be tough to replace. Ed's done exceptionally well, and I've been extremely impressed by his all-action style in the games I've seen, but to have Jacques fit and available as a replacement just goes to show how much strength in depth we now have in the back row.
Best of luck tomorrow all.
I have done an updated squad list which just needs clarification about certain players, once that is sorted out it can go onto website in news section .
Team looks fine to me.Quietly confident.
Strange to have a team with only JLR not to have played in a winning Cov side this season.
Good luck boys....onwards and upwards.
Now we will see how the players handle it,shortage in the back row players out of position and up against a team full of confidence after beating Ealing. We have been lucky with injuries to the backs so far but now with Dom out injured and Cliffie not available with visa problems we look a bit light especialy as J.O.seems to be banished to Broadstreet.Good luck on Saturday Cov.
I wasnt referring to the team, I know he's Injured. This is the 'squad' list from the website!
Dom is a fully signed player from the start of the season and should really be on there, don't you think? Where have you been?
Absolutely .... Silly you.
You suggesting I should start a whole new thread just to try to highlight that the squad list is out of date!? ..
Anyway, enough for now, I'm off to find your marbles.. ;-)
Absolutely you should, that way it might get noticed. Tucked away in here its just an off topic posting in transient thread about this week's selections.
Ok.. Fair point, but I wasn't making a big deal about it, it was just something I noticed in assing when I was looking at what back row players we have, whilst wondering if they are fit.
You know me, I don't wanna be negative! ;-)
Toms seen it now anyway, so all is good.
And back to the thread...
Good luck for today, another game for the people of coventry to look forward to. And for those less fussy about who they go to watch, I'm sure it will be a great day for rugby fans in the city in general, with today's 'double header'! I find it fascinating how the waspies game will have an affect on our attendance today, hopefully in a positive way. :-)
