...to Ealing Victory

Coventry's’ 16th man played a key role in their weekend victory over previously unbeaten National League One leaders Ealing Trailfinders.

The game was watched by a crowd of 1,480 – the best of the season at the Butts Park Arena – and centre Callum MacBurnie insists the impact they had on the team cannot be understated.

“The sound from the crowd was absolutely phenomenal,” said the 24-year-old, who is in his fourth season at the club.

“I’ve never heard it like that before and it’s massive for us to have that support behind us – I’m just glad we could rise to the occasion and deliver a bonus-point win.

“If people are paying their money to watch us and give us such vocal support, we really have got to deliver – and the better we play, hopefully the more fans will come down to watch us. It was a fantastic game.

Callum is actually a bit of a star in that he make his tackles but also brings other players into play at the right time. Crack on

Callum needs a haircut but is frightened to have one as the winning sequence started just after his last short back and sides. (As informed by the man himself last Saturday). Long may he remain a scruffy b***er if that is all it takes for us to keep winning.
