Sheffield United have been boosted by Newcastle's decision to allow them to extend the loan deal of Wayne Quinn by a further two months. The 26-year-old has made six appearances since arriving on loan in early January and the Blades were keen to keep him at Bramall Lane.

Football executive Terry Robinson told www.sufc.co.uk "Wayne has done a good job and we need his experience."
