The Football Association have written to Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock and Liverpool defender Stephane Henchoz over the Worthington Cup spitting row. Warnock alleges that Henchoz spat at him after the Blades lost the second leg of the semi-final at Anfield 2-0. It is believed referee Alan Wiley did not see it or include it in his report. A statement on www.thefa.com read: "The FA have written to both parties for their observations. They have 14 days to respond."
