After a fantastic 4-2 victory over Bury Football Club the other day in Avon Insurance Premier League, The Blades have jumped to the top of the league table.

In our home game against Bury Laurens Ten Heuvel scored twice while Nick Montgomery and Lee Featherstone put in the other two.

The Blades have played so far six games and are level with Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town on 13.The Terriers however are not our only derbies to look forward to as we will come across Barnsley and Rotherham United in the League.

In Avon Insurance Cup The Blades have also got off to a great start, United are top of their four team group after 1 game played, teams in group are Scunthorpe United, Boston United and Doncaster Rovers.

Our next league game is on Wednesday 16th October 2002 at Alfred McAlpine Stadium where United play second place Huddersfield, bladesfc.co.uk wish our reserves the best of look and that they come home with three vital points.
