Massive Prices on Boro strikers

The start of the new Premiership season is still fifty days away but that has not stopped the bookmakers from releasing some juicy little prices for the upcoming season.
The start of the new Premiership season is still fifty days away but that has not stopped the bookmakers from releasing some juicy little prices for the upcoming season.
The one that hits me straight away is the massive 80/1 on Mark Viduka to be the Premiership's top goalscorer come next May and when you consider how well the likes of Andy Johnson did last season with Palace (2nd place with 23 goals) then you can see the possibilities and the value that is available on Viduka.
Even Jimmy Floyd at 44/1 is massive considering his class and ability and if Middlesbrough get as good a start as they did last year, I can see both those odds tumbling very fast. Put it this way, I would be very surprised if those odds were available on Hasselbaink and Viduka two weeks after the beginning of the season.
I would suggest that if anyone was considering backing either player for the season's top goalscorer then now would be the time. These prices may well not be available again.
The other great price that I have noticed was for the manager of the month in August.
A look at the fixture list tells you that Middlesbrough avoid the big three in August. A further look tells you that their hardest two games in August are at home to Liverpool and away to Tottenham, both games which Middlesbrough are very capable of winning.
It could well be that Boro pull off a clean sweep in August and so obviously, the chances of McClaren being crowned manager of the month are very high.
McClaren is currently 20/1 to be manager of the month and a winning start at home to Liverpool will see those odds tumble quicker then a downhill skier.
The only other possibilities I see at this stage are the odds on the FA Cup and Carling cup with Middlesbrough best priced at 28/1 and 20/1 respectively.
You can make a case for Middlesbrough in the cup competitions, though there does not appear to be any great value in
those prices.
To conclude. Here are the Recommended bets
The one thing to remember in relation to the above prices is that IF Middlesbrough get a good start then the above prices on the recommended bets will just not ever be available again.
Good Luck.
