The fans are calling, and so The Bear will oblige... After a lucky win againt West Brom and yes, it was lucky, the smogs now travel to the skunks in a game guaranteed to give us a night of boredom. European football might be dangling like a carrot in front of a rabbit, but The Bear knows the smogs are already destined for the Intertoto Cup.

The Bear recognises the smogs defence has been lacklustre to say the least, and was exposed on numerous times by relegation battlers Fulham and WBA. Tonight will be no different.

The Bear believes the pace of Dyer will cause all sorts of problems for the super slow smogs and this will ultimately lead to several Newcastle goals.

At the other end, The Bear expects Nemeth to be invisible, and Hasselbaink to look disinterested as their summer holidays are all too close.

As a side note, The Bear would advise that supporters watch out for Ray Parlour who could well continue the trend of playing for the opposition!

The smogs will battle hard, but The Bear is fully prepared for an easy surrender of three points as an ultra negative approach stops them from imposing themselves on their opposition.

Even after a flukey 4-0 victory against WBA, The Bear still does not see where the goals are going to come from and whilst defensively the smogs look weak, this match can only have one outcome.

It's a 3-0 Newcastle victory and the end of the European dream.
