Norwich City have announced that Alvin Quaye has been offered a scholarship. Alvin, a tough tackling defender has played as a schoolboy for West Ham but was not offered a scholarship by the Hammers. He has however done enough to impress the coaching staff at Norwich and is all set to join their Academy on a full time basis at the start of next season. Whilst Alvin was highly thought of at West Ham but it is gratifying to know that youngsters who do not get offered scholarships at the club are able to get opportunities elsewhere. Alvin was a member of Kevin Keen’s U16 side this season. We look forward to seeing how he performs against the Hammers in the Premier Academy League next season and we are sure that he will return to Little Heath determined to prove a point.
