Marc-Vivien Foe has had his four game ban lifted, on appeal, by the FA. The Cameroon international is now free to make his City debut in the season's opener at Elland Road.
Foe ban liftedMarc-Vivien Foe has been cleared to play in City’s opener at Elland Road after the FA lifted his four game ban on appeal.Foe collected the ban in his final days at West Ham and had yet to serve his sentence. Initially the FA had told City that Foe would have to sit out the first four games of the season but it is believed that City appealed on the grounds that the ban should have been served by last season. Whatever the reasons, the FA’s decision is a major boost for Keegan’s planning as the injury crisis at Maine Road grows. Ali Bernabia and Jon Macken are the latest casualties and neither are expected to play in the two remaining pre season fixtures this week. |
