Ali Bernabia has been handed the captaincy ahead of Peter Schmeichel for the coming season. The honour comes as a reward for an excellent first season for the Algerian.
Captain AliAli Bernabia has been chosen ahead of Peter Schmeichel to captain City on the pitch for the coming season.Keegan has rewarded the Algerian with the captaincy after a fantastic first season last term. Bernabia was instrumental in helping to turn around an average start to the season after he arrived at Maine Road. Keegan believes that Bernabia’s experience makes him the right man for the job, added to that the fact that he provides a vital link between the English and French speaking players who make up the majority of the first team squad. The move will prove popular with the fans who voted Bernabia as their player of the year for last season. |
